What is a Korea K-ETA?

A K-ETA — short for Korea Electronic Travel Authorization — is an online travel permit that allows visa-free visitors to enter South Korea without needing a traditional visa.

Who Needs It

  • Citizens of visa-exempt countries (like the U.S., Canada, Australia, Singapore, most of Europe, etc.)
  • Those traveling for tourism, business meetings, conferences, or short-term visits (under 90 days typically).

Validity and Use

  • Valid for 3 years from the date of approval or till the passport expiration date.
  • Allows multiple entries during that time.
  • You must apply at least 72 hours before your departure to Korea.

At Arrival

  • You’ll skip filling out a paper arrival card.
  • Immigration officers will verify your K-ETA electronically.
  • Just present your passport (the K-ETA is linked to it).
