Brazilian Visa Applications: Duplicate Submissions

Can We Submit Another Application on Behalf of a Client?

If a client has already submitted a Brazilian visa application directly through the Brazilian government portal, it is not possible to have two applications pending at the same time. The government’s system will recognize the applicant’s passport number and personal details, and will reject any duplicate submission.

Current Application in Process

  • If an application is still under review on the Brazilian government’s website, neither the applicant nor Peninsula Visa can submit another one.
  • The system does not allow parallel applications for the same person.

How Peninsula Visa Can Take Over

If a client decides they would prefer Peninsula Visa to handle their application after they have already submitted one, the following steps are required:

  1. The applicant must log into their account on the Brazilian government portal.
  2. They must either wait for the current application to be processed or withdraw/cancel the existing application.
  3. Once the application is officially closed, Peninsula Visa can submit a new one on their behalf.

Recommendation

Applicants should either wait for the decision on their existing application or cancel it if they want Peninsula Visa to proceed. Attempting to submit another application while one is pending will result in rejection or delays.
