Am I eligible for a United States ESTA?

In order to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program with an ESTA, you must be a national of one of the following participating countries:

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, or the United Kingdom.


The purpose of your visit must be for tourism or business, and the duration of your stay must be 90 days or less. You must also possess a valid e-Passport (biometric passport) with an embedded electronic chip.


You are rendered ineligible for a United States ESTA if you have traveled to or been present in any of the following countries:

Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen.


You are rendered ineligible for a United States ESTA if you are a dual national of any of the following countries:

Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria.
