When does the Sri Lanka ETA validity start?

For a Sri Lanka Business/Tourist ETA, the validity works in two parts:

1️⃣ ETA validity period

• Valid for 6 months from the date of issue
• You must enter Sri Lanka within these 6 months

2️⃣ Duration of stay after entry

• 30 days per stay
• Multiple entry allowed within that period

So in simple terms:

👉 6 months to use it

👉 30 days stay once you enter (with multiple entries)

• The ETA validity starts from the date of issue.

  
  

• Issued with a 90-day validity - from issue date (Use before date printed on the ETA)

  
  

• Length of stay: 30 days ONLY.

  
  
• Entry Type: Multiple (This is permitted within 30 days from the initial arrival)
