Cambodia offers two primary types of electronic visas (e-Visas) for international travelers, both of which can be conveniently applied for online through the official government portal:


1. Tourist e-Visa (Type T)

  • Purpose: For leisure travel, sightseeing, and visiting friends or family.
  • Entry Type: Single entry.
  • Validity: Valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
  • Length of Stay: Up to 30 days.
  • Fee: USD $30.
  • Processing Time: Approximately 3 business days.
  • Extensions: May be extended once for an additional 30 days within Cambodia.


2. Business e-Visa (Type E)

  • Purpose: For attending business meetings, conferences, or other work-related activities.
  • Entry Type: Single entry.
  • Validity: Valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
  • Length of Stay: Up to 30 days.
  • Fee: USD $35.
  • Processing Time: Approximately 3 business days.
  • Extensions: Can be extended for longer stays, up to 12 months, depending on the purpose and supporting documentation


Application Process

To apply for either e-Visa:

  1. Online Application: Complete the application form at evisa.gov.kh.

    Required Documents:

    • A passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended entry date.
    • A recent passport-sized photograph.
    • For business e-Visas: a letter of invitation or business-related documents.
  2. Payment: Pay the visa fee securely using a credit or debit card.
  3. Processing: Wait for the processing period (approximately 3 business days).
  4. Receive e-Visa: Once approved, download and print your e-Visa certificate to present upon arrival in Cambodia.


    Entry Points for e-Visa Holders

e-Visas are accepted at the following entry points:

  • Airports:
    • Phnom Penh International Airport
    • Siem Reap International Airport
    • Sihanoukville International Airport

      Land Borders:

    • Cham Yeam (Koh Kong Province) – from Thailand
    • Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey Province) – from Thailand
    • Bavet (Svay Rieng Province) – from Vietnam
    • Tropaeng Kreal (Stung Treng Province) – from Laos

It's important to note that e-Visas are not accepted at all border crossings, so ensure your point of entry is among those listed above.

Additional Information

  • e-Arrival Card: All travelers are required to complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card online within 7 days before their arrival to expedite the immigration process.
  • Visa Exemptions: Citizens of certain countries may enter Cambodia without a visa for short stays. For example, nationals of ASEAN countries like Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand have visa-free access for stays ranging from 14 to 30 days.
