Do US Passport holders need a visa to travel to France?

As a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa to visit France or any other country in the Schengen Area for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

This visa-free access is for tourism, business, or family visits, and it applies as long as you do not overstay or engage in paid work. Make sure your passport is valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Zone.
