Travel Mobile Apps

CBP has developed several mobile apps tailored to international travelers. These apps aim to reduce delays and make the border entry process more efficient.

  • Mobile Passport Control (MPC)

MPC allows eligible travelers—including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and select foreign nationals—to submit passport and customs declaration information through a smartphone or tablet. It is available at more than 30 U.S. airports and cruise ports, offering a faster, more efficient path through customs with shorter lines and reduced wait times.

  • CBP One™

CBP One is a multi-functional app used by a variety of travelers and trade users. Key features include:

  • Document submission
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Requests for inspection services

This app is especially useful for land border crossings and immigration-related services.

  • Global Entry Mobile App

This app is designed for active members of the Global Entry program. It allows travelers to report their arrival at participating airports directly from their mobile device—bypassing the need to use a stationary Global Entry kiosk.

How it works:

  • Select your arrival airport from a list of supported locations.
  • Submit a real-time photo of yourself from inside the terminal.
  • Receive a confirmation receipt to show to a Global Entry officer upon arrival.

Note: Only enrolled Global Entry members can use this app. It does not support new enrollments. If you are not a member, you must either go through the standard customs process or use the free Mobile Passport Control app.

  • CBP Border Wait Times (BWT)

The BWT app provides real-time estimates for wait times at U.S./Canada and U.S./Mexico land border crossings. Each location updates its projected wait times hourly, helping travelers better plan their routes and avoid unnecessary delays.

CBP’s mobile apps are transforming border management by delivering both security and convenience:

  • Reduced wait times at airports and land ports
  • Streamlined customs inspections
  • Greater accuracy in document processing
  • Real-time data that supports faster, safer decision-making
  • Enhanced traveler experience through digital accessibility

Whether you're a frequent flyer or occasional road-tripper, these tools help make your border crossing quicker and more predictable.

📲 Where to Download

All CBP mobile apps are free to download and available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Tip: To ensure the smoothest experience, travelers and trade professionals are encouraged to download and set up the appropriate app before their trip or shipment arrives.
