What Does Global Entry Conditional Approval Mean?

Conditional approval means that your Global Entry application has passed the initial review by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and you're now eligible to move forward to the interview stage.

  • Your background check has been completed and cleared
  • Your application met all eligibility requirements
  • You now need to schedule and attend an in-person interview

⚠️ It does NOT mean you're fully approved yet—final approval is only granted after a successful interview.

📍 What Happens After Conditional Approval?

1. Schedule Your Interview

  • Log in to your TTP account at ttp.dhs.gov
  • Choose a nearby Enrollment Center
  • Select an available date and time

2. Prepare for the Interview

Bring the following:

  • Your valid passport(s)
  • Government-issued ID (e.g., driver's license)
  • Proof of residency (if requested)
  • Conditional approval notification (printed or digital)

3. Attend the Interview

You'll meet with a CBP officer who will:

  • Ask questions about your application and travel history
  • Take your fingerprints and photo
  • Review your documents
  • Determine if you qualify for final approval

Can You Be Denied After Conditional Approval?

Yes. Conditional approval means you're still under review.

The final decision is based on your interview and any further background verification. If issues arise, such as inconsistencies, missing documents, or concerning travel history, CBP can deny your application.
