Do I Need My Global Entry Card to Travel?
Global Entry offers expedited re-entry into the United States and includes TSA PreCheck privileges—but do you actually need to carry the physical card? Here’s what you need to know:
✈️ For Air Travel: Not Required
You do not need your Global Entry card when traveling by air.
At airports:
- Use your passport at Global Entry kiosks to re-enter the U.S.
- Add your Known Traveler Number (KTN) to your airline reservation to access TSA PreCheck
✅ Tip: You can find your KTN in your TTP account or on your Global Entry card.
🚗 For Land Travel: Required
Your Global Entry card is required if you're:
- Entering the U.S. from Canada or Mexico by car
- Using NEXUS or SENTRI lanes at land border crossings
The card acts as your secure ID for land entry.
🆘 Lost or Misplaced Your Card?
Here's What to Do:
If you've lost your Global Entry card, don't worry—replacing it is simple.
🔁 How to Replace Your Card:
- Log into your TTP account
- Navigate to the “Replace Card” option
- Pay the $25 replacement fee
- The new card will be mailed to the address on file
📬 Make sure your mailing address is current in your profile before requesting a new card.
